The focus is on the analysis, explanation and design of IT systems to support innovation, collaboration and management systems. The main focus is on cyber-physical systems in the context of Industry 4.0. Building on the fundamentals of information and communication technology, current topics from the field of innovation technologies are discussed (e.g. simulation and modelling tools, virtual realities, data mining and rapid prototyping).
