Wi1 at CIRP Design Conference

CIRP2019

During this year’s CIRP Design Conference organized by the International Academy for Production Engineering the chair Wi1 was present with two contributions. Sascha Julian Oks presented the paper “Cyber-physical modeling and simulation: A reference architecture for designing demonstrators for industrial cyber-physical systems” co-authored by Max Jalowski, Albrecht Fritzsche and Kathrin M. Möslein. Proposing the concept of cyber-physical modeling and simulation, the paper offers a reference architecture for the design and development of demonstrators in the digital age fostering user centered system design. Moreover, Max Jalowski presented the paper “Facilitating collaborative design: a toolkit for integrating persuasive technologies in design activities” by him, Albrecht Fritzsche and Kathrin M. Möslein which describes an artifact for the utilization of persuasive technologies in workshop surroundings. The scenic landscape of the Portuguese Atlantic coast around the conference location of Póvoa de Varzim was a wonderful setting for in-depth discussions and exchange among representatives of the several research disciplines present.

Both papers will be published in the Journal Procedia CIRP shortly.
