MMax Jalowski is a research fellow at the Chair of Information Systems – Innovation & Value Creation. He received his doctorate in 2020 for his dissertation “Revolutionizing Workshops”. Prior to that, he graduated from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg with a Master of Science in Computer Science (with a focus on IT security and distributed systems) in 2017.

His research focuses on designing behavior-changing technologies and on supporting individual creativity with persuasive technology. He led and worked in various research projects on human-computer and human-robot interaction, business model development for artificial intelligence based products and services and on open innovation in the field of cyber security for critical infrastructures.

His teaching focuses on designing and analyzing innovation technology, cyber-physical systems, and business model development.

Together with his co-founder, Sascha Julian Oks, he has transferred these research results and artifacts into the FAU spin-off QuartRevo. He is the CTO of this start-up.

He is giving talks and workshops on the topics “Designing technologies for collaboration”, “Designing technologies for behavior change”, “Business model innovation for artificial intelligence”, “More security through openness – collaborative ways to protect IT systems” and “Social Engineering with the robot NAO”.
