Dissertation Research Overview

The doctoral research examines how firms design and manage open innovation in uncertain and disruptive environments. It adopts a balanced perspective by addressing not only the benefits of openness but also its risks, failure mechanisms, and longer-term organizational implications. The research focuses on how collaboration design, partner selection, and governance shape innovation outcomes and how open innovation contributes to organizational resilience through the development of dynamic capabilities. By integrating insights from innovation management and strategic management, the dissertation presents a comprehensive framework that links open innovation practices to innovation performance and resilience, with implications for both theoretical and managerial decision-making.
