Dr. Béla Venesz, PhD is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Information Systems WI1, Innovation and Value Creation at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. He holds degrees in Computer Engineering and Business, and a PhD in Business and Management Sciences.
With over 20 years of international experience in hardware and software development, MedTech/HealthTech innovation, and embedded technologies, he founded companies specializing in hardware development, prototyping, and small-series production. His research focuses on qualitative methods, open innovation, user co-created innovation, the role of lead users in new product development, digital transformation, and value creation in complex, regulated environments. His aim is to make a meaningful contribution to both theory and practice by identifying academically and managerially relevant gaps and delivering operational, research-based solutions.
